Delegated

This feature allows the server main admin to delegate the administration of a single or more domains to a different person: The Delegated Admin. The interface allows you to manage the those administrators and to grant permission to them.

The menu has 2 options: List and Granting:

By clicking on each option you will access the corresponding screen:

List: shows information about both administrators:

  1. Global: there is no actions because this area only shows the actual Global Admins
  2. Delegated: shows the current Delegated Admins. There are 2 possible actions: Edit and Remove

By choosing Edit, you will be able to edit the permissions for the selected Delegated Admin / account.

By choosing Remove, all delegated rights for that account will be erased. It doesn’t delete the account!

Note: A confirmation pop up menu will appear in order to confirm your action, to avoid involuntary removals. It is recommended that if you use a pop up or publicity blocker, to deactivate it for the page in your browser.

Granting: This is the part where you as Global Admin will choose whom you want to grant permissions to and for what domain.

Firstly you need to choose the domain you want to delegate. Once done, clic on List Users for the next step.

Then you will need to choose the email address of the user that will be the Delegated Admin.

Clicking on “Granting” the right for that user will be granted and he now will be able to log in as Administrator for the corresponding domain, with limitations.
