Reindex

With this feature a server admin can have a mailbox index redone. Reindexing a mailbox is an invasive procedure that deletes the current index and makes a new one.

Attention! The account will be put in Maintenance mode when executing a Reindex. At the end of the process it will automatically set as Active. For big accounts, is possible that the status remains in Maintenance. In this case will be necessary to manually set it back as Active.

To access the module, as usual, go to the main menu on the left and select Users. Then select the domain to which the account you want to reindex belongs.

Next, select the user from the list, or use the search bar to find them. Click the edit icon on the right-hand side.

On the next screen, click on the Misc tab and then scroll down to find the module.

This feature is very simple and easy to use. Just click on the Reindex button, and the account you are positioned in will be automatically reindexed.

The process will start and there will be a sign in the browser’s tab indicating the ongoing process. You might want to check the status from time to time by clicking the Status button.

The output shall show something like this:

The result of a status query can be: Started (the process has initiated); Running (the process is in progess); Idle (the process has concluded).
